Facial FAQs

Does the hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning will NOT make your hair grow back thicker.

Fine facial hair, or “peach fuzz,” is one of two types of hair everyone has. It’s the delicate, translucent hair you can only see if you look closely at your face, chest and back. Because this hair is so fine and different from the other type of hair (what grows on your head and legs), cutting it doesn’t make it grow thicker or feel stubbly afterwards. It will grow back at the same rate and texture you had before your dermaplaning treatment.

Can all skin types and conditions get dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is great for all skin types except skin with active acne, lots of bumps and uneven skin texture. However, dermaplaning may be used for reducing the appearance of pitted acne scarring.

How often can I get a dermaplaning treatment?

Dermaplaning can be performed once every 4-6 weeks.

Is dermaplaning safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women?

Yes. And we can even use certain chemical peels along with dermaplaning that are safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women, such as lactic acid or our enzyme exfoliants.

How often should I be getting facials to see noticeable results?

Our facials can be done monthly and most of our clients will see at lease a difference after just one treatment.
